Biography
Bruce Bonanno, MD
Bruce Bonanno, MD, has worked in emergency rooms for 24 years. Board certified in emergency medicine in 1993, he has worked in ERs in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Iowa, and his locations have varied from small towns, to rural, suburban, and inner-city areas.
He is chairman of the PR committee of the national American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP ), and on the board of directors of New Jersey chapter of ACEP, currently serving as the secretary-treasurer.
Bonanno hosted a half-hour TV show, To Your Health, for 10 years and serves as the chief medical consultant for News 12 NJ. He has appeared on several radio programs and has written and contributed to articles in print. He currently is the secretary-treasurer of the board of directors of National Association of Medical Communicators (NAMC).
Born and raised in New Jersey, Bonanno graduated from Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., and attended Rutgers University before graduating from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada. He has two children, a boy aged 17 and a girl aged 11. He enjoys all sports, and when he’s not participating, he likes to exercise. He lives in a beach community and loves to travel.
