What to Expect at a Fertility Evaluation

After a year or more of trying to have a baby, you might be ready for a meeting with a fertility doctor. You should go to that first visit with your partner, suggests WebMD guest expert Hyacinth Nicole Browne, MD. Be ready to answer questions about your medical histories, your lifestyle, and any medications you take.

Your doctor will work with you to find out the reason behind any fertility problems you may be having. Maybe it's an issue with sperm or ovaries, polyps or fibroids. Once there's a diagnosis, you'll work together to find out what treatment will be best.

Have you had a fertility evaluation? How did it go? Or are you still waiting to make that first appointment?
