Adult Brain Tumors Treatment (PDQ®) - Tumors of the Sellar Region: Craniopharyngioma
Craniopharyngioma (World Health Organization grade I) is often curable. (Refer to the Tumors of the sellar region section in the Classification section of this summary for more information.)
STANDARD TREATMENT OPTIONS:
- Surgery alone if the tumor is totally resectable.[1]
- Debulking surgery plus radiation therapy if the tumor is unresectable.[2]
