Childhood Brain Stem Glioma Treatment (PDQ®): Treatment - Patient Information [NCI] - Recurrent Childhood Brain Stem Glioma

A focal or low-grade brain stem glioma may recur many years after first being treated. The tumor may come back in the brain or in other parts of the central nervous system. Before cancer treatment is given, imaging tests, a biopsy, or surgery may be done to make sure there is cancer and find out how much cancer there is.
