Gallbladder Cancer Treatment (PDQ®): Treatment - Health Professional Information [NCI] - Localized Gallbladder Cancer


Treatment options under clinical evaluation:

  • Clinical trials are exploring ways of improving local control with radiation therapy combined with radiosensitizer drugs. When possible, such patients are appropriately considered candidates for these studies.

Current Clinical Trials

Check for U.S. clinical trials from NCI's list of cancer clinical trials that are now accepting patients with localized gallbladder cancer. The list of clinical trials can be further narrowed by location, drug, intervention, and other criteria.
