Charles Bankhead

Charles Bankhead is a freelance medical writer living in Houston. During a 20-year career, he has written for a variety of print and electronic media whose audiences are health care professionals and consumers.

Before beginning his freelance career, Charles was a staff writer and editor for Medical World News, a leading medical trade magazine. He began his career as a health and science writer at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He received undergraduate and graduate degrees in journalism and mass communication from Texas Tech University.

Bankhead has received awards and recognition for his work from the American Heart Association, Society for Technical Communication, Public Relations Society of America, and Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
