Biography

Jonathan LaPook, MD

Jonathan LaPook, MD, is an associate clinical professor of medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, where he has spent most of his medical career. After graduating with honors from Yale University and Columbia's College of Physicians and Surgeons, LaPook completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at the Columbia University Medical Center. LaPook has done extensive work in the field of medical computing, including helping to develop one of the world's first electronic textbooks of medicine in the 1980s and writing a medical practice management software package called Probity. In addition to his teaching and clinical work at the medical center, he maintains a private clinical practice in New York City.
