Medicare: FAQs on Prescription Drug Coverage

January 1, 2006, Medicare began offering insurance coverage for prescription drugs for all people with On Medicare. This coverage is often referred to as "Part D". This coverage is designed to help you save money on your prescription costs.

General Medicare Population

People With Employer or Retiree Coverage

People on Medicare and Medicaid (dual eligibles)

People with Low Incomes (other than dual eligibles)

People in Medicare Advantage Plans
