Zimmer® Gender Solutions™ Knee
The First and Only Knee Replacement Shaped to Fit a Woman's Anatomy

Women receive two-thirds of the more than 400,000 knee replacements1, 2 in the U.S. each year. Although female anatomy is distinctly different than men's, replacement knees have traditionally been based on an average size of men's and women's knees. Leading orthopaedic surgeons have reported that they often must make adjustments during surgery to make traditional implants fit female patients.

Pioneering research conducted for Zimmer confirmed the variation between women's and men's knees and allowed us to quantify three distinct and important anatomical differences.

Based on this research and our 30 years of clinical success with knee replacements, we designed the Zimmer Gender Solutions Knee. While other implants come in small sizes, the Zimmer Gender Solutions Knee is the first and only knee replacement shaped to fit a woman's anatomy. Getting a good fit for female patients is not just about size, it's about shape.
