This organization is made up of individuals suffering from chronic pain, and health care professionals who work in this field. Provides help in coping with chronic pain, and teaches different methods of pain management, including relaxation, exercise, and assertiveness training. They also work with health care facilities to upgrade and maintain their pain management units. Offers several publications aimed at both the lay or professional audiences.

The Texas Back Institute offers information on back pain prevention, research, and treatments through their Back Pain Hotline. The Hotline is staffed by four RNs and provides information to callers from across the nation. They will answer clinical questions over the phone or send out information packets and articles written by Texas Back Institute physicians.

The Virtual Hospital is presented by the Electric Differential Multimedia Laboratory, Department of Radiology, at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. It contains medical information for both patients and healthcare providers, and draws from sources such as the Iowa Health Book, multimedia textbooks, teaching files, clinical guidelines and assorted publications.
