This organization is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those affected by Multiple Sclerosis through patient care services and by expanding public awareness and support. Their web site features a helpful nationwide physician directory, as well as lots of great info about support groups and medical developments. Books, pamphlets, brochures, a newsletter and videocassettes are also available.

MSF provides information, referral and support services to professionals, those diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, family members and friends. Their mission is to educate people about treatment options for MS; to aid research into the cure, treatment, prevention, and cause of MS; and to heighten public awareness.

The NMSS offers extensive educational materials, supports over 2000 self help-groups, funds more than 200 research projects around the world, advances public policy development and helps those with MS and their families access clinical centers and community services. The NMSS furnishes a 24-hour toll free information line and a continuously updated home page.

Multiple Sclerosis Web Ring

This is a "ring" of nearly 150 web sites that pertain to muscular sclerosis. Most are personal sites or those of regional support groups, and it is a great place to start if you're interested in reading about the experiences of others who are living with MS.

Listservs

A listserv is a discussion of a particular topic, which may be mediated by a specific individual. Listservs are conducted entirely through email, although they may be archived in other parts of the Internet. When you subscribe you will receive a message that confirms your subscription. This message will also contain the information about how t o unsubscribe ― this is vital, so store it in a good place on your mail server.
