Today's Daily Dose
Boost Your Memory
WebMD's Charlotte Grayson, MD Your daily dose of health information selected by WebMD physician editors.
The old adage "use it or lose it" also applies to your brain.

Exercise keeps your heart healthy and ensures that brain cells get all the nutrients they need. Reading, memory work, and word games also help.

Any activity that requires thinking and concentrating will challenge your brain.

Some ideas: Keep a journal, learn a language, do crossword puzzles, memorize poems, read difficult books and articles, take music lessons.

Your brain will thrive on the challenge.
