Steven Jerome Parker, MD

Steven Jerome Parker, MD, has been a pediatrician for 20 years. He was in private practice in primary care pediatrics for many years before joining Boston Medical Center. He currently directs the division of behavioral and developmental pediatrics at Boston Medical Center and is an associate professor of pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine. He also runs a holistic pediatric primary care clinic for children with chronic medical and developmental problems.

Parker co-authored -- with Dr. Spock -- the 1998 edition of Dr. Spock's Baby and Child Care. He also wrote a textbook for pediatricians entitled Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics: A Handbook for Primary Care. Parker writes a biweekly column for WebMD's Parenting and Pregnancy channel and responds to messages on the Parenting: Steven Parker, MD, message board.
