David Perlstein, MD, FAAP

David Perlstein, MD, FAAP,  received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at The New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center in New York. After serving an additional year as chief pediatric resident, he worked as a private practitioner and then was appointed director of ambulatory pediatrics at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. He has received numerous medical student teaching awards and is an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He serves as both medical director of St. Barnabas Hospital and vice chairman of pediatrics, where he remains an active clinician while managing the Hospital's quality program and medical staff. As a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, he serves on his chapter's Executive Committee and as a CATCH grant facilitator as well as an APA abstract reviewer. Perlstein serves on several New York City Department of Health subcommittees focused on immunization practices.
