Sometimes it's important to just have a bag. Maybe it could be a purse or a backpack, and you just grab it and go.

You almost don't have to think about it. And the things that I would recommend that they always have with them is a meter, of course, with test strips and lancets to help check their blood sugars.

I recommend that they have any medications that they need during the day, if they're not at home, so that they have access to it.

And then I always recommend that they have something that's going to be able to bring their sugar up very quickly, so some glucose tablets or hard candy in case they do have a low blood sugar.

And I actually recommend that they have some healthy snacks along with that.

The healthy snacks, really for me, is more so not to treat the low blood sugar,

but the healthy snacks are for the times when you're so busy and you're so hungry that you want to grab something to eat and not kind of cheat

on your diet and help you stay on track with controlling your blood sugars.
