akathisia
Pronunciation (ak-ă-thiz′ē-ă)
- A syndrome characterized by an inability to remain seated, with motor restlessness and a feeling of muscular quivering; may appear as a side effect of antipsychotic and neuroleptic medication.
Syn: acathisia
