allergen immunotherapy
- a process of administering allergenic extracts to patients who suffer from allergic rhinoconjunctivitis and allergic asthma to decrease the degree of hypersensitivity and symptoms by reducing immunologic responses to environmental allergens like pollen, dust, animal dander, and molds; also highly effective for preventing anaphylaxis in patinets allergic to bee venom.
