Pronunciation (nū′rō-lep′tik)
- Any of a class of psychotropic drugs used to treat psychosis, particularly schizophrenia; includes the phenothiazine, thioxanthene, and butyrophenone derivates and the dihydroindolones. See also: antipsychotic agent Syn: neuroleptic agent
