What is my daily goal?
Based on the information you provided us, we have calculated a daily goal to help you achieve the weight loss you are looking for. This daily goal factors in the amount of calories you should aim to consume through food minus the calories you should burn through fitness.
As you eat and exercise throughout the day, you should log your meals and activity in the Food and Fitness Logs. WebMD will then let you know how many calories you can still eat for the day.
If you have a daily goal of 1500 and exercise for 200 calories, you could still eat 1300 calories and be within your calorie limit.
1500 daily goal - 200 calories from exercise = 1300 calories remaining
If you have a daily goal of 1500 and eat 1700 calories, you would need to exercise and burn 200 calories to be within your calorie limit.
1700 calories from food - 200 calories from exercise = 1500 daily goal
How does the new daily goal differ from the old separate food and fitness calorie targets?
Well, it doesn't. Your daily goal factors in both of these food and fitness targets.
If you had a food calorie target of 1600 and a separate fitness calorie target of 300, your daily goal would be 1300.
1600 calories from food - 300 calories burned through fitness = 1300
