Digestive tract

The digestive tract includes the mouth, the esophagus, the stomach, the small and large intestines, and the rectum.

Sometimes the digestive tract is divided into upper and lower parts:

  • The upper digestive tract includes the mouth, esophagus, stomach, and small intestine.
  • The lower digestive tract includes the large intestine and the rectum.
