Only When Necessary: REPORTS OF INFANT ADVERSE EFFECTS INCLUDE TACHYCARDIA, FEVER, LETHARGY

Only When Necessary: EVIDENCE FOR MALFORMATIONS; CAN REDUCE UTERINE BLOOD FLOW CAUSING FETAL HYPOXIA

Possibly Safe

Nursing:

Precaution: ORAL BIOAVAILABILITY LOW; INFANT EXPOSURE MAY BE MINIMAL

Precaution: NOT RECOMMENDED. MAY CAUSE PARADOXICAL EXCITATION/INHIBIT LACTATION.

An adult over 60:

Precaution: (SOM)(BEERS) ANTICHOLINERGIC: SEDATION, COGNITIVE IMPAIR., GLAUCOMA

Precaution: (SOM)(BEERS) MORE SENSITIVE TO CV & CNS EFX; URINARY RET.,INSOMNIA.

Precaution: (SOM)(BEERS) ANTICHOLINERGIC/HYPOTENSION; NON-SEDATING AGENTS PREF.

Giving Re-Drylex to a child under 12:

Absolute Contraindication: NO SAFETY AND EFFICACY AGE <2 YRS. CNS EXCITATION & SEIZURE RISK IN NEWBORNS.

Relative Contraindication: INFANTS AND CHILDREN ARE SENSITIVE TO ADVERSE EFFECTS.

Absolute Contraindication: RISK OF CNS EXCITATION. DO NOT USE AGE <6 YEARS WITHOUT CLINICIAN CONSULT.

Absolute Contraindication: MORE SENSITIVE TO ADVERSE EFFECTS. AVOID USE FOR COUGH/COLD.

Absolute Contraindication: NOT RECOMMENDED AGE < 6 YEARS WITHOUT CLINICIAN CONSULTATION.
