How the interaction occurs:

Antacids and proton pump inhibitors may increase the amount of amphetamine that gets into your body.

What might happen:

Taking these together may increase the effect of amphetamines.

What you should do about this interaction:

Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Let your doctor know if you medicine is not working or you have more side effects than expected. Your doctor may tell you not to take your amphetamine at the same time as your antacid.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
