How the interaction occurs:
The cause of the interaction is not known. When these two medicines are taken together, magnesium trisilicate may prevent your body from absorbing iron properly.
What might happen:
You may experience a decrease in the beneficial effects of iron.

If your doctor prescribes these medicines together, try to separate the doses as much as possible. Your healthcare professional can help you to schedule your medicines.
