If you are:

Pregnant:

Not Recommended: NOT RECOMMENDED ESPECIALLY IN 3RD TRIMESTER OR NEAR TERM

FDB Only When Necessary: EVIDENCE FOR MALFORMATIONS; CAN REDUCE UTERINE BLOOD FLOW CAUSING FETAL HYPOXIA.

Only When Necessary: BROMPHENIRAMINE TANNATE FDA CATEGORY C, BROMPHENIRAMINE MALEATE CATEGORY B.

Only When Necessary

Nursing:

Absolute Contraindication: ONE REPORT OF METABOLIC ACIDOSIS;RISK OF REYE'S SYND W/VIRAL ILLNESS/FEVER

Precaution: INSUFFICIENT DATA AVAILABLE; MOLECULAR WT LOW ENOUGH FOR POSSIBLE EXCRETION

Precaution: INSUFF DATA AVAIL; MOLECULAR WT LOW ENOUGH FOR POSSIBLE BREASTMILK EXCRETION

Precaution: NOT RECOMMENDED. MAY CAUSE PARADOXICAL EXCITATION/INHIBIT LACTATION.

An adult over 60:

Precaution: (SOM)(BEERS) ANTICHOLINERGIC/HYPOTENSION; NON-SEDATING AGENTS PREF.

Giving phenylprop-bpm-DM-ASA to a child under 12:

Relative Contraindication: REYE SYNDROME RISK WITH VIRAL ILLNESS, FEVER, FLU SYMPTOMS.

Absolute Contraindication: POSSIBLE CNS EXCITATION, CONVULSIONS IN NEWBORNS.

Absolute Contraindication: DO NOT USE IN PEDIATRICS <6 YRS OF AGE UNLESS CLINICIAN CONSULTATION.
