How the interaction occurs:

Your HIV medicine may slow down how quickly your body processes your blood pressure medicine.

What might happen:

The amount of blood pressure medicine in your blood may increase and cause side effects such as weakness, fatigue, dizziness, or changes in your heart rate.

What you should do about this interaction:

Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that your are taking these medicines together or if you have any side effects. Your doctor may want to check your heart's rhythm or adjust the dose of your blood pressure medicine.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
