Iron may bind to other minerals in your GI tract, which may prevent them from being absorbed.

The amount of minerals you absorb from your supplement may decrease.

Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Do not take your iron supplement within 1 hour before or 2 hours after products containing calcium, manganese, tin, or zinc. Your doctor may want to check your blood to see if your levels of iron or other minerals are low.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
