Oxaliplatin can affect how your nerves work. Cold beverages and ice may exacerbate problems with the nerves in your mouth and throat.
What might happen:
You may be very sensitive to cold beverages and ice. Drinking cold beverages or using ice may result in burning, prickling, and spasms in your mouth, tongue, throat, and jaw.
What you should do about this interaction:
