How the interaction occurs:

When these two medicines are taken together, the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine may cause your diuretic (water pill) to not work as well.

What might happen:

You may experience a decrease in the beneficial effects of your diuretic (water pill).

What you should do about this interaction:

Contact your doctor if you experience headache; dizziness; blurred vision; trouble breathing; or swelling of ankles, feet, or hands. It may be necessary to adjust the dose of your medicine or change you to a different anti-inflammatory medicine.Your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
