Indinavir/Itraconazole; Ketoconazole

How the interaction occurs:

Itraconazole and ketoconazole slow down how your body processes indinavir.

What might happen:

The levels of indinavir in your blood may increase. This may cause problems with your kidneys or nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

What you should do about this interaction:

Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines. If you have any pain in your side, blood in your urine, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, contact your doctor. Your doctor may want to change the dose of your medicine.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
