What might happen:
If you start taking a granulocyte colony stimulating factor while you are still taking topotecan, the granulocyte colony stimulating factor may not work as quickly to produce white blood cells.
What you should do about this interaction:
Your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) will probably have you wait at least 24 hours after finishing topotecan before starting your granulocyte colony stimulating factor. Be sure to keep all laboratory appointments. Let your doctor know right away if you develop any signs of an infection.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
