How the interaction occurs:
Probenecid may slow down how quickly your liver processes lorazepam.
What might happen:
You may notice increased effects from your lorazepam, including sluggishness and disorientation. You may lose consciousness.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor and pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. If you notice increased effects from your lorazepam, such as sluggishness and disorientation, contact your doctor. It may be necessary to change the dose of your lorazepam.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
