Atazanavir may slow down how quickly your body processes diltiazem.
What might happen:
The amount of diltiazem in your blood may increase and cause side effects such as weakness, fatigue, dizziness, or a fast heartbeat.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that your are taking these medicines together or if you have any side effects from your diltiazem. Your doctor may want to check your heart's rhythm or adjust the dose of your diltiazem.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
