How the interaction occurs:

Multiple live vaccines may be given on the same day; however, if they are not given on the same day they should be given at least 4 weeks apart. Giving them sooner may prevent your immune system from reacting to the vaccine.

What might happen:

The second vaccine may not work as well.

What you should do about this interaction:

Make sure your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know about any vaccinations you have recently received. Discuss the timing of your vaccines with your healthcare provider. You may need to reschedule your vaccination or repeat a vaccination in order to make sure it is effective.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
