How the interaction occurs:
Telaprevir may slow down how quickly your body processes tenofovir.
What might happen:
The amount of tenofovir in your blood may increase and cause more side effects than normally expected.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Contact your doctor if you experience any stomach pain/nausea/vomiting, chills, unusual tiredness or weakness, dizziness, lightheadedness, a fast or irregular heartbeat, yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, light-colored stools, or loss of appetite.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
