Both medicines can fluid to build up in your body. The extra fluid can cause stress on your heart.
What might happen:
Some patients who take these medicines together may develop heart failure. In some patients who already have heart failure, their heart failure may get worse.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. If your doctor decides that using these medicines together is the best therapy for you, you will be monitored. Let your doctor know if you notice any swelling, sudden weight gain, trouble breathing, or change in your condition.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
