How the interaction occurs:
Bile acid sequestrants may stop the fenofibrate from getting into your body.
What might happen:
Taking these together may lower the effect of fenofibrate.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know right away that you are taking these medicines together. Taking the fenofibrate 1 hour before or 4-6 hours after the bile acid sequestrant may prevent this interaction.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
