How the interaction occurs:
Cholestyramine and colestipol may decrease how much raloxifene your body absorbs.
What might happen:
The amount of raloxifene in your body may be decreased, which can cause raloxifene to not work as well.
What you should do about this interaction:
Make sure that your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. To try to avoid this interaction, take your cholestyramine or colestipol as far apart from your raloxifene as possible. Your doctor may want to consider changing one or both of the medicines or closely monitor how well each medicine is working.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
