How the interaction occurs:
Zileuton may slow down how quickly your liver processes your heart medicine.
What might happen:
An increase in the beneficial and side effects of your heart medicine may occur.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your health care professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicine together or if you stop taking zileuton. If you experience a slow heart rate, weakness, fatigue, or dizziness, contact your doctor. Your doctor may need to adjust the dose of your heart medicine.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
