How the interaction occurs:
When these two medicines are taken together, your body may not process ergotamine derivatives properly.
What might happen:
The blood levels of the ergotamine derivative may increase and cause toxic effects. You may experience nausea, vomiting, decreased mental alertness, seizures, or unconsciousness.
What you should do about this interaction:
Talk to your healthcare professional (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) as soon possible about taking these two medicines together.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it.
