How the interaction occurs:
Your strontium may bind to your antibiotic in the digestive tract and prevent your body from absorbing it.
What might happen:
Your antibiotic may not work as well against your infection.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professional (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Separate the times you take your antibiotic and your strontium supplement by as much time as possible.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
