What might happen:
Ticagrelor and aspirin are used together. However, taking extra or higher than recommended aspirin doses may cause in your ticagrelor not work as well.
What you should do about this interaction:
Most patients do take aspirin with ticagrelor; however, after an initial 325 mg dose, the daily aspirin dose usually should not exceed 100 mg for most patients.Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know right away that you are taking these medicines together and how much you are taking. To maximize the benefit and safety of ticagrelor, do not take additional aspirin or combination medications which contain aspirin for fever, pain or other conditions unrelated to your heart or circulation. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend alternative medicines for these conditions.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
