I've recently started using this medication. I was on Topamax, but had to stop due to kidney stones. Propranolol has really worked for me. I was getting migraines 3-8 times a month. I've had 1 or two since I started this. My biggest complaint is I have gained all the weight I just recently lost. About 25lbs. Very, Very depressing!

Took 40 mg at start of migraine, later had to up itto 80 mg. Took it with 2 ibuprofen and would work to stop it over half the time. If took it to late would lessen the pounding pain. i was young and had strong heart. My mom got fatigued on it and took it before bed for her high BP. I had to stop it when i got older and the propranolol aggravated acid reflux.

It was a miracle for her migraines, but about a week after starting it she experienced fatigue, extreme fogginess, and felt "outside herself" several times a day, so we are trying something else. Definitely worth a try though. The side effects stopped within four days of dis ... Show Full Comment

This medication was a life saver for my migraines. I was getting them at least 4 days a week and even waking me up suddenly in the middle of the night and some would last for several days. I would be bed ridden with debilitating pain, vomiting, nausea and extreme sensitivity to light, sound, and just to rotate in bed. I had been prescribed several other medications to prevent them, but nothing see ... Show Full Comment
