Severe nausea, vomiting and diarrhea after taking this for the first time. Won't take it again.

I had both knees replaced three years ago. My knees have been great, but lately, i had started having what i think was nerve pain on the outside of both knees. It ha started keeping me awake. I had also started having muscle cramps in my feet and can calves, something i had never had a problem with. The cramps were really annoying me, so i decided to try some magnesium. I saw the Slomag and decided to try it. It is amazing. I have not had one cramp since i started taking it, and the pain i was having around my knees, is completely gone. I was experiencing cramps in my legs and feet and was prescribed slow mag capsules … they have never helped at all… paid almost R 450 for 100 caps… asked dischem if I can return it as it’s a waste of time - apparently manufacturers do not accept returns… Not fair , no recourse at all whatsoever???

I've been taking this for a couple of months and for the last month I've had a problem with diarrhea. I really need this supplement and not sure what Todo about this problem. I have ckd stage 4, so I'm going to see my nephrologist to make sure that it's this medication that's causing the diarrhea. I've taken it with and without food . No difference

My wife likes it and believes it is good for health and longevity. However, for me, it results in slimy, messy stools. I've gone off and on it 5 or 6 times over the previous years, and I'm pretty confident that it is this SloMag supplement that is the culprit. I cannot tell whether it is a reaction to the glycol, the magnesium, or some of the numerous other additives. But even with only a single tablet (half the recommended dose) it simply is not well tolerated by my system. I'm done with it. I'll gladly get my magnesium from beans, almonds, nuts and other foods. Gives me diarrhea shortly after taking. Taking as directed with meals(food)and 8 oz of water

Will never take another one of these. I threw up for over 12 hours and diarrhea for the same 12 hours.

I have restless leg syndrome and get spasms in my esophagus. Also get Charlie horses sometimes. I have taken this a long time and it really does help prevent those issues for me.

Talc and Titanium Dioxide in the supplement that you are supposed to take every day? It is FDA approved and it is not supposed to harm but what happens if you are taking it for 10 years?! These 2 ingredients cause CANCER. Do not take this supplement.

I take one tablet per day for regular heart rhythm. Since beginning slomag over 1 year ago have only had ONE episode of SVT (fast heart rate). Before that I had several episodes per month for years, with cardiologist and endocrinologist supervision. Neither one of them recommended this. Please have magnesium levels checked at routine exams!

I have a fib and when I started taking this I have not had a fib. Seems like a very simple solution to a difficult problem.

I had severe leg cramps and a pharmacist recommended this. I get instant relief.

This was recommended to me but I'm concerned about some of the ingredients. Propylene Glycol was banned in Europe and recently removed from Gatorade. Additionally why use shellac when there are healthy alternatives. It seems strange to take something for better health with very unhealthy ingredients in it.

I started taking this medication about 3 months ago. For the last six weeks or so I have noticed that my stool is very dark and sometimes i have pain in my stomache and feels like i have to throw up. Is this normal and will it go away?

My father in law picked up his prescription of slow mag yesterday and took his prescribed dosage this morning. His tongue swelled, and he broke out into a rash. We had to call 911 and he was vomiting in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. He had an anaphylactic seizure. He is currently in a medically induced coma and on a breathing machine in the ICU.

I have migraines and my neurologist recommended that I add a magnesium supplement. I've tried different brands and found that this one was the only one that has been helpful in reducing my migraines. I've also found that it makes me a little sleepy so I take it at night and it helps me fall asleep.

Had a bad reaction to this. My face swelled with a red bumpy hot rash all over.
