Comment:
Prescribed for whooping cough. In first part to middle part of illness, didn't work on cough, but as illness progressed (about 3 weeks), did reduce cough. After 7 weeks am still on it. Experiencing dizziness and slight headache. Definitely constipated. Without it...I don't even want to think how desparate I might have been.

I use this med when I get sinus infections or upper resp infections and can't stop coughing my lungs out. It is the only thing that works to stop the cough. I don't get any side effects from it at all and it kicks in within 15 mins.

Started the drug this morning and within 30 minutes of taking the first pill my cough had diminished dramatically. It's 2 pm, took the 2nd dose as directed, so far no side effects at all from the drug. I'm satisfied with the results so far.

Chronic Asthmatic Bronchitis and its accompanying cough is barely tolerated in the workplace. This drug makes it possible to continue to work. Advise drinking extra water with the pill.

Comment:
I was prescribed this for bronchitis. I had a very runny nose & the Tessalon seemed to make it worse which caused my cough to worsen, but right after I took my next dose the coughing wasn't as severe. A few hours after taking the medication my severe cough would return and I would turn purple from coughing so hard so I would take my next dose(it was prescribed as needed up to three times d ...
