Trazodone has been a miracle sleep medicine for me. I've been taking it for 2 years and am sleeping better than I have in 30 years. I usually take 50mg, occasionally 100mg depending on what's going on that day, about 1 hour before bedtime. I sleep for about 8 hours and have not noticed any side effects.

I don't know if I dreamed that or if it was real, but it sure was scary. I won't take any more prescription sleep meds. I took ambien for awhile but it made me eat at night and not remember the next morning. These meds are scary messing with your brain. I tak ... Show Full Comment

    Comment:
I've been taking this for over 20 years and can attest to its efficacy. It will give you a "sleep hangover" in the morning without the proper number of hours sleep. Hang in there, the morning extreme grogginess lessens with the length of time taking it. I make a point of having an hour to wake up, drink a large something caffeinated, and get my brain functioning-but not everyone need ... Show Full Comment
