I was having a horrible UTI and was prescribed this medication. At 105 lbs/age 44, I find that after my first dose of a 500 mg tablet, I awoke a few hours later with difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, feels like I'm having a heart attack/anxiety. I am seriously considering discontinuing the rest of the medication based on these early signs. I also have general muscle soreness whi ... Show Full Comment

This medication is really effective and I haven't had any problems taking it and I am only required to take it for seven days. I have experieneced insomnia but other than that, I haven't had any other problems. This medicine is a God send as I was having a few stomach pains but after one days treatment, that went away!

The only issues I had were in the first few days of taking the meds - a headache (which is normal for me), some dizziness, slight diarrhea and for lack of a better description some numbing in my cheeks. In my opinion the ... Show Full Comment

I've have bladder infections almost constantly. They're hard to detect, unless I have visible blood, or get a culture done. The last time my culture showed the type of bacteria, and Cipro is the drug indicated for that type of bacteria. With my current infection, I was told I have no infection. I knew I had one, and it took 2 weeks before I could find a doctor to run a culture. By the ... Show Full Comment
