I was given a 3 day course of this medicine for a UTI, and it hasn't worked. Not only that, but within a week or so, I started getting tightness/soreness in the lower legs, arms, and back. A month later, I'm still feeling sore, and I'm a healthy 31 year old. Could it be related to tendon damage? Most likely. I would never take this med (or a similar one) again. Only if it were a ... Prescribed 500 MG Ciprofloxacin HCL tablets every 12 hours. This has been extremely difficult on my system. After 3 pills, I now have 'spider webs' hanging over my left eye and what appears to be 'silver lightening strikes' to the left side of my left eye. I have usually normal blood pressure (115-130/75-80 mm Hg) and I do not take any blood pressure lowering treatments. Recently during the second day of intake (2 times 250 mg) of ciprofloxacine I noticed increase of blood pressure up to 150/100 mm Hg.
