i was given this med because allergic to penacillan in emerg ward. told dr i thought a stone in very swollen front left saliva duct she said NO it was a tooth abcess problem i took meds 3 days and no better as ears eyes all my teeth aching both good filled and one cap had come off and felt horrible so i got a needle and tweezer sterilized and made a little hole in gland where it bulged up and ... I began this medication on Tuesday night, after bladder surgery. Wednesday the headachey feeling began, and by nighttime I had severe migraine with piercing pain in my eyes. By morning it subsided. I still had residual headache, but took it a few more times, and now the migraine is back. I am done with this one. Will call doc in AM to prescribe something else.

This antibiotic was remarkable for the infection in my gums. I was severe pain, was unable to get tooth pulled because I couldn't get numb from infection. Dentist's give me severe anxiety so dentist thought it was best to go under general anesthesia and get tooth pulled that way because they may have to cut my jaw bone to pull roots out. Scary! Comment:
I took ony 2 pills, 500 mg each for an eye infection, sty. I took 2 pills about 7 hrs apart. I had very dry mouth at night and I had nausea and an extremely bad pounding headache that I have never experienced before. I stopped taking this med. It was horrible. I am only taking the antibiotic drops for the eye.

I was prescribed cephalexin 500mg 4 times a day for a severe and potenially serious infection of a blocked tear duct. As I am allergic to amoxycillin, I was prescrbed an epipen along with this medicine, just in case.
