June 2006 I was in a car wreck and have a bisk buldge and after nemerous meds. this is the only one to work. I am only 20 and my primary care wont prescribe it to me because of chance for dependency. But, if you are like me and hate to take meds unless in severe pain, this is a great one!

I have taken Soma for pain resulting from auto accident. The doc prescribed three different types of muscle relaxers over the course of therapy.Soma works best.I did notice the effectiveness decreases over time.I stop taking it for a couple days and then begin back. I only use it as needed to help control the unbearable pain I am in. I am always in pain but soma helps a lot.

I want to warn anyone that takes this drug to be very careful as it is terribly addictive. However, you have to have an addictive personality to become addicted. I began taking Soma for Fibromyalgia and thus began a long journey of addiction, going from doctor to doctor to get more Soma and ultimately legal problems that stemmed from my abuse. Soma is probably good for short-term use, but even ... Show Full Comment
