The first year,no side effects,then I started getting hot flashes, always nauseous,Bones aching alot!!moods bad. i got pimples,no energy,sex drive gone... I got off,too many problems.Im wayyy to young to be having issues

I would not recommend this shot to anyone. I started the depo shot because I had heavy,painful periods.I'm only 19,so onlky geting my period every 3 months sounded awsome. I was so wrong...I only had 2 injections. I spot all the time. I've only had one normal period. I get all the symptoms of my period but never get it. Depo works! it does exactly what i wanted it to at age 18, stop my period and keep me from getting pregnant. about 5 yrs ago, after being depressed for at least 6 months, i decided not to go back on it. i have had nothing but trouble since. first, i started missing my period for months on end. it would be almost 6 months before i would have a period. this makes it really hard when you are thi ... I had a completely different experience with this drug then the rest of the reviews...i absolutely loved it...i had no weight gain what so ever...no periods...no joint pain or hair loss...its absolutely perfect for me!

I had the shot 10 years ago and it worked fine for me, no periords, no weight gain and no babies. I was on the shot for about 2 years then. Since then I was on and off birth control.
